I had a wonderful at the Sandown Lodge. It was incredibly easy to find, central to other locations and the whole check in process was very easy. Wonderful property, very clean and everyone on the property was friendly and helpful.

I had a wonderful 4 nights at Sandown Lodge. I had a self catering room and it was just perfect. The little kitchen was well-equipped to make your own food. The king bed was just wonderful and firm and the linen pristine. I loved the full bathroom with bath as well as walk in shower. The host Vanessa is down to earth and relaxed, which means you can relax too. I especially loved housekeeper Hellen who warmly welcomed me on my arrival and left me rusks and beautiful cake during my stay. What a treat. The family has two adorable female miniature schnauzers who often popped in to say hi and keep me company. Their beautiful cat Biscuit is too special for words and she joined me for a few naps in the afternoons. What a joy to stay here if you love animals. My car was safely parked being a locked gate. It was tranquil, serene and quiet, enabling me to sleep deeply and to feel safe as a solo traveller. I loved meeting the other guests. The whole property has a wonderful feel and I will definitely stay there again next time I am in Cape Town. Thanks for a wonderful few days!

The location was convenient for motorways and only 15-20 mins from the airport. It was quiet and leafy with a park opposite and amenities nearby. The accommodation is in an elegant historic house and guests have the use of the beautiful rear garden. The hostess and staff were fantastic. Parking with electric gates.

Not an issue, but for info, when we booked we had the impression that breakfast was included (it was mentioned in reviews) but this was historic and not currently provided. The kitchenette was very well equipped so it's easy to provide your own! We had the Suite, which we thought the best of the 3 we saw.

Everything was clean and classy. I had everything i needed. Peter and Vannessa were very helpful. I had a great stay!

On internet, Sandown Lodge is described as "old world charm" where you can relax in the lovely English garden and where you can take refuge from the sun in the shade of an old oak true.
This is probably the best description that I can give of Sandown Lodge.

Our stay in this beautiful Guest House in Rondebosch meets all requirements to make it the most memorable stay. Keep up the good work - We were impressed with all staff members from Management to frontline staff to the housekeeper. Will definitely return!

A beautiful and cosy lodge with nice rooms and garden. The owners are very nice and you feel welcome with dogs and cats that the kids will love. Ideal for a family. Amazing breakfast and fresh product. The lodge is in Rondebosch, a beautiful green area only 15 minutes from center of Cape Town. Definitely a great place to stay.

This is a superb B&B in Rondebosch, Cape Town. We received a warm welcome from Vanessa and were shown to a delightful room looking onto a small garden. We had secure off road parking and were served the most delicious breakfasts during our 5 days stay there. The staff were great with Helen being particularly helpful with our laundry. Highly recommended.

Comfortable bed and breakfast in Rondebosch. Friendly hosts, comfy beds, great breakfast, good location with an easy walk to restaurants, Wi-Fi worked well. I would come back to stay again when I next visit Cape Town.

To me its all about the attention to detail. From having milk in the fridge when you arrive to making you feel like you are in your own home. It is centrally located and a dream for business and pleasure, making the booking was a breeze and upon arrival Vanessa made sure everything was in place. The staff is so professional and friendly. I will easily recommend this little gem.

What an amazing three nights spent at Sandown Lodge. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the breakfast was divine. Special mention must be made of the goddess Hellen who went the extra mile to make sure every need of mine was taken care of.

Stayed for a second time, just as nice. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is filling with plenty to choose from. The location is ideal for both Cape Town central and the airport being about a 10 minute drive from both. It is also easy walking distance to Newlands cricket ground. Will definitely return, next time we in Cape Town.

A great experience for our purpose, was in the right location and fulfilled our requirements. Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Host was very friendly and informative. Breakfast was great with a good selection. Overall, well worth it.

Hotels are mostly similar, but this lodge/b&b had class. Built in 1865, big rooms, upmarket. The area is quiet. As for the breakfast, you get treated like a King! Gives you a country side feeling
